Britney Spears Turns 30 Amid a Resurging Career

Britney Spears turned 30 on Dec. 2, amid a career that is having some sort of resurgence--all her recent singles have been certified hits.

Despite having embroiled in a public meltdown and two crashed marriages, Britney can still ponder her success and achievement: seven best-selling albums, landing a Grammy Award, launching a multi-million dollar perfume empire and becoming a mother to two precious boys.





She probably won't want to dwell too long on suffering a public meltdown and two failed marriages, especially as the Toxic singer has turned her life around after settling down with boyfriend Jason Trawick.

She's currently in Mexico with her hugely successful Femme Fatale tour.

This mammoth undertaking grossed more than $6 million in its first 10 shows alone, and has been warmly received by critics.

Britney will mark her big day there today, and in the spirit of celebrating, she’ll give the residents of Mexico City a special gift on Saturday in the form of a free concert.

When the tour finally ends, Britney will throw a huge party.
