Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner as Witch Hunters in new "Grown-up" Hansel and Gretel Movie

One of the Grimm Brothers' popular tales, Hansel and Gretel is about two kids trapped in a candy-covered house deep in the woods. The two kids escape by their sheer wit and were even able to kill the goddamnfucking witch.

Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner out to kick some ugly witches' ass.

But that's not what the new film, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters is about. Starring Bond girl Gemma Arterton and Hurt Locker star Jeremy Renner, the new movie features the grown-up versions of Hansel and Gretel out to paint the town red by killing witches wherever the fuck they are.

The siblings have evolved into expert bounty hunters, famous for their proficiency at tracking and taking down their evil prey.

Now immune to harmful spells and curses, they are recruited by the Mayor of Augsburg to rid the town of the evil witch Muriel, played by Famke Janssen, who is planning to sacrifice local children at the witches' gathering during the upcoming 'Blood Moon' night.

Shot on location in the medieval town of Brunswick in Germany, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, cost $60 million to produce and was shot in 3D.

'Blood and gore and action, all the stuff that I love', said director Tommy Wirkola, describing the film. 'First and foremost, it's an action movie...with horror elements. And of course some dark humor as well'
