Fourteen years ago, Leonardo DiCaprio charmed millions of women when he went from rags to riches, cleaned up and slipped into a nice suit in the movie Titanic. He looked phenomenal in early 20th century style.
Today, in the recent shots from the set of Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of The Great Gatsby, DiCaprio proves that he’s still got it. Dressed to the nines in an impeccable white suit with a cane in one hand, DiCaprio looks debonair as Jay Gatsby.
Co-stars include Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway and Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan—a role auditioned for by numerous actresses including Scarlett Johansson, Blake Lively, Keira Knightly, Amanda Seyfried and Michelle Williams. Ultimately, the British actress was cast after her impressive “command of the character” during her audition video.
